I finally got a new MacBook Pro as a replacement for the lemon I got 7 months ago. This new baby, with the Core 2 Duo processor, is what the machine should have been from the start. Rock solid wireless network, doesn’t get glowingly hot, good sound from the speakers. Too bad Apple didn’t get it right from the beginning. Must have cost them quite a bit. For me it cost 7 weeks without portable (2 x 2 weeks on repair, then waiting 3 weeks for replacement machine) which was painful.
